2017-19 Calibration Supervisory

Position Summary:
Provide supervisory as well as management of calibration laboratories, troubleshooting, maintenance, repair, installation and de-installation of electronic systems, equipment, components, antennas, cables, cableways, waveguides and ducts, while using calibration standards, logic analyzers, digital oscilloscopes and other test equipment. Relevant experience on quality management systems (ISO9001:2008 or equivalent).
 
Responsibilities:

  • Accomplish calibration of General Purpose Electronic Test Equipment (GPETE).
  • Calibrate Automated Test Equipment (ATE), Monitoring Systems and certify Hot Test Beds
  • Perform all supervisory duties in support of the program and ensure customer service while attending to customer company policy and personnel needs.
  • Define significant out of tolerance conditions so appropriate action can be taken to correct possible nonconformance.
  • Monitor and report environmental factors in Calibration Lab Facility that may have negative impacts on equipment operations or reliability.
  • Maintain database access and use Met Bench Calibration Management System (MCMS) and Metrology Automated System for Uniform Recall and Reporting (MEASURE) databases for calibration management.

 
Experience:
Required: 5 yrs. recent relevant experience in the management of calibration laboratories, troubleshooting, maintenance, repair, installation and de-installation of electronic systems, equipment, components, antennas, cables, cableways, waveguides and ducts, while using calibration standards, logic analyzers, digital oscilloscopes and other test equipment. Relevant experience on quality management systems (ISO9001:2008 or equivalent).

Details of C4ISR in PWS experience working on the below:

  • Accomplish calibration of General Purpose Electronic Test Equipment (GPETE).
  • Calibrate Automated Test Equipment (ATE), Monitoring Systems and certify Hot Test Beds.
  • Accomplish repair of GPETE.
  • Repair Automated Test Equipment (ATE), Monitoring Systems, Test Fixtures and Hot Test Beds.
  • Affix a standard calibration sticker to the repaired/calibrated test equipment.
  • Define significant out of tolerance conditions so appropriate action can be taken to correct possible nonconformance.
  • Maintain and calibrate all Mechanical and Electronic Standards.
  • Provide tracking, control, and Preventive Maintenance Servicing (PMS) such as observing operational characteristics and filter cleanliness.
  • Provide GPETE recall listing and inventory control for all Code 43140 GPETE.
  • Install, align, test, repair and maintain all depot Hot Test Bed equipment.
  • Monitor and report environmental factors in Calibration Lab Facility that may have negative impacts on equipment operations or reliability.
  • Travel to worldwide locations to provide calibration and repair services for GPETE and ATE.
  • Maintain database access and use Met Bench Calibration Management System (MCMS) and Metrology Automated System for Uniform Recall and Reporting (MEASURE) databases for calibration management.
  • Support and develop repair and calibration procedures as directed.

 
Education:
Required: HS & 2yrs of in an industry trade school or civilian college in electronics. Completion of an appropriate military “A" school and completion of at least one appropriate military “B" or "C" school may be substituted for the two year requirement plus relevant certs. Associate’s or higher in EE, CE, CS, TM, IS, IRM, IT or Physics. .
