Position Summary:
Procure replacement parts commercially when unavailable in the Federal Supply System (FSS) or the acquisition lead time is beyond the repair window, or the commercial price is more economical and the reliability and compatibility is consistent with military operating systems. The contractor shall request the government to place a MILSTRIP order when suitable.
 

Responsibilities:

  • Track MILSTRIP deliveries, costs and distribute to appropriate work centers. Provide MILSTRIP order, delivery, and cost report to the government.
  • Acquire FC/EC kit components through commercial-off-the shelf availability when the material is found compatible with Military operating systems and operational reliability requirements.
  • Provide Engineering Change Proposal (ECP) data suggestions to facilitate reverse engineering in order to provide equivalent or interchangeable parts when components are not available from either FSS or the commercial market.
  • Review proposed FC/EC parts for electronic, mechanical, structural and environment suitability by performing testing and recording metrics for use in analysis.
  • Perform material (Commercial, MILSTRIP, FC/EC Kits) reviews

 
Experience:
Required:  5 yrs. experience as an expeditor with commercial market acquisition techniques, adhering to federal guidelines for full and open competition for those acquisitions available on the commercial market and compatible with military operating systems.

Details of C4ISR in PWS experience working on the below:

  • Operate Government furnished computers and programs to communicate general information and status reports regarding material Estimated Delivery information to appropriate personnel.
  • Procure replacement parts commercially when unavailable in the Federal Supply System (FSS) or the acquisition lead time is beyond the repair window, or the commercial price is more economical and the reliability and compatibility is consistent with military operating systems.
  • The contractor shall request the government to place a MILSTRIP order when suitable.
  • Track MILSTRIP deliveries, costs and distribute to appropriate work centers. Provide MILSTRIP order, delivery, and cost report to the government.
  • When required, the contractor shall acquire FC/EC kit components through commercial-off-the shelf availability when the material is found compatible with Military operating systems and operational reliability requirements. If FC/EC kit components are not available commercially or via MILSTRIP process, the contractor shall inform the government sponsor.
  • Provide Engineering Change Proposal (ECP) data suggestions to facilitate reverse engineering in order to provide equivalent or interchangeable parts when components are not available from either FSS or the commercial market. Non-approved parts shall not be used unless approved by Code 4314 Depot Management and the In Service Engineering Agent (ISEA). N66001-16-R-012610
  • Review proposed FC/EC parts for electronic, mechanical, structural and environment suitability by performing testing and recording metrics for use in analysis.
  • Perform material (Commercial, MILSTRIP, and FC/EC Kits) reviews to ensure the materials are in accordance with design specifications and operational requirements, and provide the government with recommendations for improvements and corrections.

Education:
Required: HS & 5 yrs. in restoration/repair depot or equivalent experience.
