Position Summary:

The Senior Engineer will be conducting the engineering analysis, designing solutions to system obsolete hardware and providing all appropriate documentation and drawings support associated with delivery for production which includes developing technical documentation and providing electrical engineering expertise for all variants of CDLMS legacy and technical refresh. This Engineer must have experience with test, analysis, and troubleshooting of complex C4I system hardware problems for development of modification for the enhancement of lifetime sustainment support.

 

Responsibilities:

-Evaluates electrical systems, products, components, and applications by designing and conducting research programs; applying knowledge of electricity and materials.

-Confirms system's and components' capabilities by designing testing methods; testing properties.

-Develops electrical products by studying customer requirements; researching and testing manufacturing and assembly methods and materials

-Prepares product reports by collecting, analyzing, and summarizing information and trends

-Perform detailed calculations to establish standards and specification

-Inspect installations and observe operations to ensure compliance with design and equipment specifications and safety standard

-Use computer-assisted engineering software (AutoCAD) to perform engineering tasks

-Provide quality assurance for ongoing projects

-Keep current with the latest technical innovations in electrical engineering

 

Education:

Bachelor of Science degree in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering

 

Requirements & Qualifications:

The Systems Engineer should have at least 5 years’ experience in Electrical Engineering and 8 years of experience working with complex communications systems

Secret security clearance or the ability to obtain one.

SolidWorks and/or AutoCAD experience.

Experience developing or modifying wiring diagram and establishing power requirements of C4I systems. Troubleshooting electrical/electronic systems and/or components.

Familiarity with TDL systems.
