Position Summary:

The Supervisor Calibration will provide depot supervisory calibration and repair services. The Supervisor Calibration will manage the daily activities and scheduling of the team. Develop, deploy, and maintain calibration and test procedures that comply with all applicable standards and regulations. Maintain a calibration system that assures reliability, reproducibility and traceability to national or international standards. Incumbent will test and measurement equipment.


- Troubleshooting, maintenance, repair, installation and de-installation of General Purpose and Specialized Test Equipment, electronic systems, components, antennas, cables, cableways, waveguides and ducts, while using calibration standards, logic analyzers, digital oscilloscopes and other test equipment.

-Planning of calibration schedules for General Purpose and Specialized Test Equipment inventory to support C4ISR depot operations and repair schedules. Managing processing of equipment and systems requiring calibrations using data tracking and reporting software.

-Performance and interpretation of failure analysis to facilitate increase in depot test infrastructure availability. Production of status reports for depot test environment and availability.

-Complies with all applicable Departments of the Navy instructions pertaining to the calibration of equipment used for quantitative measurements.

-Provides customer and external activities with useful metrics to assist in operational planning, funding, workload management, and continuous process improvement both internal and external to the lab.

-Tracks work progress and updates equipment status and accounting records.

Qualifications and Education Requirements

HS & 2yrs of in an industry trade school or civilian college in electronics. Completion of an appropriate military “A" school and completion of at least one appropriate military “B" or "C" school may be substituted for the two year requirement plus relevant certs.; Associate’s or higher in EE, CE, CS, TM, IS, IRM, IT or Physics.

5 yrs recent relevant experience in the management of calibration laboratories.

Experience with repair and operation of computer controlled Automated Test Equipment (ATE) and Test Beds.

Knowledge of quality management systems (ISO17025:2005/ANSI Z540-1 or equivalent).
