Position Summary:

Under the supervision of the Logistics Functional Area Manager (FAM), perform general warehouse duties to include: shipping, receiving, inventory, supply chain management, data entry and forklift operations.


-Organize and maintain warehouse and inventory areas for efficient material storage and handling; maintains labeling system on each stock item; manually stocks inventory shelving with stock items received or returned

-Arrange for materials to meet production schedules, and for repair and assembly of material and the transportation to various departments.

-Working knowledge of inventory control practices; working knowledge of tools, supplies, equipment associated in warehousing operations

-Working knowledge of computer terminal operation to properly account for issues, returns, receipts of new materials and associated work orders; inputs essential data on all materials handled into to CMPro database.

 -Operates indoor and heavy duty outdoor forklifts, and other necessary vehicles and equipment to properly handle materials being received, issued, and stocked as needed.

-Considerable knowledge of equipment operating principals and procedures. Considerable knowledge of hazards and safety precautions relating to equipment operation, loading and unloading of materials.

-Move material between awaiting inspection and staging areas of warehouse

-Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with other employees, customers and vendors.

-Understand and comply with company and department processes, policies, and procedures.

-May perform other duties as assigned.


2+ yrs. recent relevant experience in:

-Operating material handling equipment (MHE) such as forklifts, high-rise platform lifts, trucks and other general purpose vehicles.

-Receive, store, select and ship materials based on an in-depth knowledge of overall warehouse plans, documentation requirements, established warehouse methods, procedures and techniques.

-Perform distribution functions related to the physical verification of material, receives, stores, issues, and moves the material into, within and out of storage activity and prepare material for off-base shipment, including non-standard/specialized items. 

-Use automated equipment such as computer terminals, bar code wands, etc. in the operation of automated equipment and established warehouse operations. 

-Duties also include examining stored materials and reporting discrepancies, deterioration and obvious damages.

Qualifications and Education Requirements

- High School diploma mandatory.  Associate’s Degree or higher is desired.

-Must have a DOD Secret Clearance or the ability to quickly obtain one

- Demonstrated compliancy in meeting and adhering to OSHA standards

 Preferred Skills

-Experience working with databases such as CMPro and Navy-ERP considered a plus

-Prefer forklift experience and active license
