John Shope - Director, Strategic Initiatives

John Shope serves as the Director of Strategic Initiatives for KES, Inc. In this role, Mr. Shope collaborates with members of KES’s Corporate Strategy Team to oversee various business development and capture management processes.

Prior to joining KES in 2017, Mr. Shope acquired considerable experience primarily in the fields of executive and program management, business development, and project management. An accomplished senior leader with 28 years of industry experience, Mr. Shope has consistently demonstrated his ability to deliver high-quality results in dynamic environments. This wealth of experience has been acquired over 22 years through various managerial and directorial positions at companies including Atlas Technologies, INDUS Technology, Anteon, and SAIC.

From 2013-2016, Mr. Shope served as General Manager/ Program Manager at the San Diego office for Atlas Technologies following his time as Division Program Manager at INDUS Technology from 2006-2012. Mr. Shope was the Sr. Technical Director/General Manager leading the San Diego office for Anteon from 2003-2006, where he was responsible for all program/project, financial, contractual, HR, security and facilities related activities. During his tenure as Assistant Vice President and Division Manager at SAIC from 1991-2003, Mr. Shope managed and lead SAIC’s Advanced Information Technologies Division.

Mr. Shope attended Albright College, graduating in 1986 with a Bachelor’s of Science in Computer Science.
